First Nations service availability

Pest control and humane wildlife services for First Nations communities across southern Saskatchewan, covering community housing, band buildings and rural properties.

What you get

Why programmes work better than callouts

Community housing is usually best handled as a scheduled programme rather than individual callouts. The same building stock and the same surrounding pressure produce the same problems on a predictable cycle, so treating them one call at a time is both slower and more expensive.

A programme also gives administration something concrete to plan against. Budgeting and maintenance planning work far better with a schedule and a record than with a series of emergencies.

What a programme includes

How a community programme is arranged

Everything is agreed in writing with the housing or administration office before any work begins.

Survey of the housing stock

We assess a representative sample of the buildings to establish what the recurring issues actually are.

Written scope and schedule

A proposed scope, schedule and cost, in writing, before anything is committed.

Scheduled delivery

Units are worked through on the agreed schedule, with exclusion prioritised over repeat treatment.

Reporting at two levels

Unit records for maintenance and a community summary for administration and budgeting.

How work is coordinated

Exclusion over repeat treatment

Where the same units come up year after year, the answer is almost always the building rather than the treatment. Sealing entry points, screening vents and fixing thresholds ends the cycle in a way that repeated interior treatment does not.

We will say so plainly in the survey, including where the most useful spend is not pest control work at all but a maintenance repair.

What affects the price

Community programme pricing depends on the number of units, the condition of the housing stock and the travel involved.

Community programme questions

Usually through the housing or administration office. We survey the building stock, propose a schedule and a scope, and put the whole thing in writing before any work starts.

We cover southern Saskatchewan on regional routes. Tell us the community when you call and we will confirm scheduling and travel arrangements up front.
